The restaurant, which has a three-pot Logis rating and has been awarded the Michelin "Bib Gourmand", extends over 3 rooms, including two covered terraces, where guests can savour the chef's wonderful recipes. Presenting a joyful, colourful atmosphere with a spring flowers theme, the rooms invite guests to enjoy delicious cuisine amid verdant surroundings.
Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid is certainly living up to its reputation as a gourmet village with Le Fort du Pré, which offers modern cuisine that highlights the work of the producers in the region in an impressive manner.
Surrounding the restaurant on all sides, nature offers its very best. Throughout the seasons, it inspires Thierry Guyot's cuisine, Master Restaurateur and a member of the Toques d’Auvergne chefs' association, whose work pays homage to his adopted region between Velay and Vivarais.
In his gourmet restaurant in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, overlooking the Haute-Loire countryside, he helps guests to discover the wonderful produce of this characterful region, to which he adds his originality and his ideas.
Here, mushrooms, green Puy lentils, Lignon or Vourzac trout, Grazac escargot, La Vocance pigeon, Velay verbena and Auvergne cheese all have their place, not to mention the fish and shellfish which he loves to work with.
Never idle, Cécile and Thierry Guyot organise cookery classes, courses and residential courses on mushrooms as well as gourmet and wellness weekends - and there is no shortage of flavour or sweetness!
